DJ EUROSTOXX 50 : Reversed Head and Shoulders Posted by Sequoia (2008/4/17)
Is the subprime crisis reaching an end ? If this is the case, the DJ Eurostoxx index might find enough energy to break its short term resistance and confirm the currently built figure of a reversed head and shoulders. The right shoulder is not yet finished and it is often risky to play a figure before its confirmation. But...

US Stocks : APPLE (AAPL) - Short term canal break-out
Posted by Sequoia on 2008/3/18 22:30:00 (164 reads)

APPLE has been evolving in a lateral consolidation movement since its recent fall from the $200 highs. The .75 rate cut of the FED helped the title today to get out of this canal. What objective should we aim ?

US Stocks : GOOGLE (GOOG) - TOPLESS ?
Posted by Sequoia on 2008/2/25 22:50:00 (146 reads)

Our last GOOG analysis were confirmed. Despite a nice technical rebound on the 500 dollars level up to 530, the title could not find enough energy to continue upwards. Is Google's nice top about to vanish ?

US Stocks : GOOGLE (GOOG) - On the edge of the razor
Posted by Sequoia on 2008/1/15 21:40:00 (176 reads)

Google seems to float in the air, above the 650 dollars when the world around it seems to crash because of subprime crisis. Remember that stock that many said overestimated at 100 dollars ? It is a 7-bagger by now. But clouds could be visible at the horizon : Wikipedia is preparing some search tool which could compete Google. This could be the first threat ever, to its supremacy. What does the technical study say about all this ? read the following :

Energy : Natural Gas - End of downtrend ?

Energy

Ok, let's make it short today on Natty because it's getting late : Natural gas gave some hard times and headaches to people who tried to trade it long (like I do). But now could be the right time to be long.

COMMODITIES : Trading Commodities Futures
Posted by Sequoia on 2007/8/15 0:20:00 (472 reads)

Every Future contract has a different size and necessary margins (both initial and maintenance margins).
As one can see on the following lists, some futures commodities are very accessible to small portfolios while others are more risky and dedicated to big portfolios...
Obviously, rookies should start with trading e-minis first and "cheap" commodities such as Mini-Corn, Mini-Wheat, Sugar or Mini-Gold and Silver. Gas should be left to more experienced traders (those commodities are hot and very volatile !)

Soft Commodities : Orange Juice - End of consolidation ?
Posted by Sequoia on 2007/8/15 0:10:00 (361 reads)
Soft Commodities

After failing right under the expected resistance (see our last OJ analysis) around 145, FCOJ could not find enough juice to squeeze above the resistance. A sudden fallout got the future on the 130 support zone. So, what now ? ....

Here are some videos (one for English speaking visitors, the other for French speaking ones) that are really worth something. Who said it's got the taste and flavor of 1929 pre-crisis/krach ???
